Ephesians 2:14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,

15 ご自分の肉において、敵意を廃棄された方です。敵意とは、さまざまの規定から成り立っている戒めの律法なのです。このことは、二つのものをご自身において新しいひとりの人に造り上げて、平和を実現するためであり、

15 by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace,

16 また、両者を一つのからだとして、十字架によって神と和解させるためなのです。敵意は十字架によって葬り去られました。

16 and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.

17 それからキリストは来られて、遠くにいたあなたがたに平和を宣べ、近くにいた人たちにも平和を宣べられました。

17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

18 私たちは、このキリストによって、両者ともに一つの御霊において、父のみもとに近づくことができるのです。

18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
