コロサイCol. 3:1-15

コロサイ3: 1 こういうわけで、もしあなたがたが、キリストとともによみがえらされたのなら、上にあるものを求めなさい。そこにはキリストが、神の右に座を占めておられます。

COL 3:1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

 

2 あなたがたは、地上のものを思わず、天にあるものを思いなさい。

2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

 

3 あなたがたはすでに死んでおり、あなたがたのいのちは、キリストとともに、神のうちに隠されてあるからです。

3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

 

4 私たちのいのちであるキリストが現れると、そのときあなたがたも、キリストとともに、栄光のうちに現れます。

4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

 

5 ですから、地上のからだの諸部分、すなわち、不品行、汚れ、情欲、悪い欲、そしてむさぼりを殺してしまいなさい。このむさぼりが、そのまま偶像礼拝なのです。

5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

 

6 このようなことのために、神の怒りが下るのです。

6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

 

7 あなたがたも、以前、そのようなものの中に生きていたときは、そのような歩み方をしていました。

7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.

 

8 しかし今は、あなたがたも、すべてこれらのこと、すなわち、怒り、憤り、悪意、そしり、あなたがたの口から出る恥ずべきことばを、捨ててしまいなさい。

8 But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

 

9 互いに偽りを言ってはいけません。あなたがたは、古い人をその行いといっしょに脱ぎ捨てて、

9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices

 

10 新しい人を着たのです。新しい人は、造り主のかたちに似せられてますます新しくされ、真の知識に至るのです。

10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

 

11 そこには、ギリシヤ人とユダヤ人、割礼の有無、未開人、スクテヤ人、奴隷と自由人というような区別はありません。キリストがすべてであり、すべてのうちにおられるのです。

11 Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

 

12 それゆえ、神に選ばれた者、聖なる、愛されている者として、あなたがたは深い同情心、慈愛、謙遜、柔和、寛容を身に着けなさい。

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

 

13 互いに忍び合い、だれかがほかの人に不満を抱くことがあっても、互いに赦し合いなさい。主があなたがたを赦してくださったように、あなたがたもそうしなさい。

13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

 

14 そして、これらすべての上に、愛を着けなさい。愛は結びの帯として完全なものです。

14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

 

15 キリストの平和が、あなたがたの心を支配するようにしなさい。そのためにこそあなたがたも召されて一体となったのです。また、感謝の心を持つ人になりなさい。

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
