Short history of Covenant of Grace Church
Upon his return to Japan in October 1999, after studying in the United States and United Kingdom, Pastor Atty Fujiwara started a ministry with the missionaries from Berkland Baptist Church (BBC), Southern Baptist Convention. They started several Bible study groups, and later, Sunday Worship in a basement of a cafè in Shibuya.
On the 21st March 2004, we have become fully independent of BBC. Thus Covenant of Grace Church, Japan Baptist Convention, started as a brand new church.
Assistant Pastor Mariko Yoshida joined the ministry in April 2005. We are located near Shibuya Station, and reach out to the young people in downtown Tokyo.
